SEATTLE (December 10, 2020) – Strivve, Inc, a Seattle-based financial technology company, today announced its partnership with Digital Onboarding, Inc., a company that provides a fully automated customer and member engagement platform that is purpose-built for financial institutions.
For financial institutions, maximizing debit and credit card usage is key to growth. Getting cards registered as the default payment method with e-commerce accounts like Amazon®, Spotify®, and Uber® is one of the best strategies for boosting transaction volume and revenue.
Strivve’s technology is now embedded in the Digital Onboarding engagement platform. Card issuers can automatically trigger email and SMS reminders that link to personalized microsites that make it easy to update default payment information at multiple merchants, all in one place.
“The vast majority of Americans have a credit or debit card on file with at least one merchant,” said Ted Brown, CEO, Digital Onboarding, Inc. “Our new Card on File feature enables cardholders to easily update their default payment method with multiple merchants through their financial institution. It dramatically simplifies the process and engenders trust and engagement between the cardholder and their bank or credit union.”
Consumers aren’t using financial institutions’ bill pay capabilities because manually updating billing information can be a huge hassle and there’s a risk of miskeying information. These barriers drive more than three-quarters of Americans who pay bills online to their biller’s website according to “How Americans Pay Their Bills: Sizing Bill Pay Channels and Methods,” a survey conducted by Aite Group.
With Digital Onboarding’s new experience, powered by Strivve, cardholders will now place their card on file where they pay and shop online immediately following activation, automatically placing the financial institution’s card to the top-of-wallet position.
The technology drives an immediate increase in digital card use, transaction volume, and brand loyalty for Digital Onboarding card issuing customers propelling their card offerings to Top of Wallet®. On average, institutions earn $25k in annual revenue for every 1k cardholders that use this service.
“The friction to cardholders of updating accounts during onboarding or activation is one strategic reason why we created our technology and solutions,” said Chris Hopen, Strivve Co-Founder and CEO. “The partnership between Strivve and Digital Onboarding is a perfect mesh of value from both companies’ and their respective goals of providing the best experiences to cardholders which also mutually benefit the financial institution customers.”
The announcement of the partnership comes with dozens of Digital Onboarding financial institution customers that are scheduled to begin use of the Strivve-powered solution immediately.
Strivve’s technology is flexible and cloud-based. It uniquely combines a scalable machine-learning engine and patented artificial intelligence algorithms. Beyond technology, Strivve provides card issuers new marketing strategies designed to increase cardholder engagement and enhance user experiences via Top-of-Wallet™ Tools. The platform does not read, pull or scrape any cardholder PII (Personally Identifiable Information) ever.
